Buffalo Dog Kennels

Thank you for visiting our site.
We opened East Concord Canine Retreat in the Fall of 2007 after a year-long search for the perfect dog boarding and dog grooming facility. This property, just south of Buffalo, is exactly what we were looking for: a beautiful countryside hideaway that's just right for us — and your dog, too.

Our goal is to provide your pet with a boarding and grooming experience like no other — an experience that is safe, comfortable and enjoyable. We give dogs lots of attention, exercise and gentle handling. We want your pet to be happy here and look forward to coming back.

Boarding that doesn't leave your pet bored.
Each day of his stay, your dog will romp in our large outdoor play area, which is fully fenced so he can run and play off-leash. He'll have an on-leash walk around the pond, down by the stream and over the nature trails that trace our pine-covered 30-acre campus. (Coming soon: an indoor play area for bad weather days.) Our exercise program is designed to leave your dog feeling refreshed and ready to wind down for the night in his spacious indoor/outdoor run. The kennels are equipped with radiant floor heat, a fleece-covered cot and soothing background music.

Your dog will look great.
East Concord Canine Retreat has a full-service grooming salon where your dog can end his stay with a bath, a practical haircut or a show-quality full styling. We pride ourselves on our gentle touch and patience with every dog. No dog in our care will ever be tranquilized or put in restraints. Nor will he be placed in a cage dryer. We use only hand held dryers, and natural, holistic grooming products selected specifically for your dog's skin and coat type. Included in each grooming is our signature blueberry tearstain treatment.

Non-boarding dogs are welcome on an appointment-only basis and will be groomed promptly upon arrival. We have created this policy for the comfort of the dog and your convenience.

Because your life gets busy, we're always here.
Daycare is available for dogs whose owners are away at work — or who just want their dog to have a full or half day of fun-filled activity. Depending on temperament, daycare dogs can play with other dogs, or go solo.

You can take something home.
Our retail area is loaded with holistic treats and dog food. We carry Nature's Variety, a diet made from grain-free, all-natural ingredients that approximate what a dog would eat in the "wild." There is increasing evidence that many of the health problems plaguing dogs today can be solved through proper diet and homeopathic alternatives to common pet foods. Grooming products such as Fur-minators, gentle pet shampoo, conditioners and skin remedies are also available for your pet's optimal health care.
