Thank you for visiting our site.Stephen Fleming acquired East Concord Canine Retreat in the Fall of 2008 after a search for the perfect dog kennel facility. This property, just south of Buffalo, is exactly what he was looking for: a beautiful countryside hideaway that's just right for dogs.
Prior to taking over ECCR, Steve managed two highly-regarded , large volume animal care facilities located in the southern suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. During his many years managing these facilities, Steve provided hands-on care and attention to the animals there. Before jumping into animal care, Steve was a paramedic for several years for the city of Boston, MA and also managed the paramedic operations for a large hospital. The combination of his animal care experience and medical training give him a solid background to provide exceptional care to your pets.
Steve is also a loving pet owner, so he understands that your pet is part of your family and their comfort and well-being is of the utmost importance. His goal is to provide your pet with a boarding experience like no other — an experience that is safe, comfortable and fun. We give dogs lots of attention, exercise and gentle handling. We want your pet to be happy here and look forward to coming back.
Boarding that doesn't leave your pet bored.
Each day of his stay, your dog will romp in our large outdoor play area, which is fully fenced so he can run and play off-leash while supervised. Upon your request, your dog can have an on-leash walk around the pond, down by the stream and over the nature trails that trace our pine-covered 30-acre campus. Our exercise program is designed to leave your dog feeling refreshed and ready to wind down for the night in his spacious indoor/outdoor run. The kennel is equipped with radiant floor heat, a fleece-covered cot and soothing background music.
East Concord Canine Retreat offers professional bathing using state-of-the-art hydrosurge technology. Your dog can end his boarding stay with a soothing bath and nail trim at a discounted rate, or call for a professional bathing appointment. We pride ourselves on our gentle touch and patience with every dog. No dog in our care will ever be tranquilized or put in restraints.
Because your life gets busy, we're always here.
Daycare is available for dogs whose owners are away at work — or who just want their dog to have a full day of fun-filled activity. Depending on temperament, daycare dogs can play with other dogs, or go solo.
